It’s best to keep it clean. Be sure to wipe down after playing using se a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints, sweat, and grime from the strings and body after each session using a guitar cleaner.
Change Strings Regularly and monitor their condition for dull or roughness. The frequency will depend on how often you play.
Use Proper String Gauge. Make sure to use the string gauge appropriate for your guitar and playing style.
Store your guitar properly using a case or a padded gig bag to protect from dust, humidity, and accidental damage. Store your guitar in a room with a stable temperature and humidity. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or in very hot or cold environments. Use a humidifier in dry climates to prevent the wood from drying out and cracking. Regularly check the neck relief and adjust the truss rod if necessary. Keep your guitar in tune and check tuning pegs for looseness. Occasionally inspect and tighten any loose hardware, such as bridge saddles and strap buttons. Don’t use abrasive materials or cleaners on the finish. Stick to products designed for guitar finishes Ensure that pickups, volume, and tone controls are functioning correctly. If you notice any issues, consider getting them checked by a professional.
